Film Screening: Shutdown: The Rise and Fall of Direct Action to Stop the War

Created to gain insight, inspire, and draw lessons - Shutdown: The Rise and Fall of Direct Action to Stop the War is a documentary about the 2003 protest occupation and disruption of the San Francisco Financial District in opposition to the invasion of Iraq. It tells the story of how social justice organizers and everyday people came together to plan and shut down the financial district of a major US city.

Wednesday, 10 March @ 6pm at Bliss Cafe - 7 Compton Street (which runs off Gouger St near Bank SA) in the city. Price $4 concession (includes health care card) $8 full.
Bliss will open at 6pm for people to order food. It would be greatly appreciated by the staff if people ordered food & drinks before the film starts at 6:30. There are limited seats - so please message criticalclimate@gmail.com a head of time to book a seat.
